The Desert Shows Off

Hello Friends! Spring is pretty much over here in the low desert southwest; we got our first triple digit day last week, but I want to share with you what the area around our little piece of the desert looks like when it is in full show-off mode. I hope you enjoy the photos.

Hello! Welcome to my blog. I am a full-time traveler, retired from a lifetime of different occupations, traveling the country with my two little dogs, Fries and Charlie B; The Chiweenie Brothers. You never know where you might find us, but if you do stop by and say hi . . . If you can get past the two best watch dogs in the universe! Happy Trails!

    1. Thank you, Sylvia! They certainly are amazing, especially this little trooper. Believe it or not it looks better than it did when I moved in, but though it has struggled and is still wrinkled and sad looking it blooms and has every year. Hoping by next year it will be even better. Thanks for stopping by!

    1. Thank you, Lindy! The Chiweenie Brothers can’t get to them. This bush is outside the Kool Cover and that’s (snake) fenced off behind the lattice; the reason the photo was so dark. I was shooting from under the Kool Cover and then then the creosote bush was shaded underneath with the sun behind it.

  1. I can understand why you love Arizona, except for the 3 digit temps. UGH! I love the different foliage that abounds in the spring. High Desert near Susanville is beautiful in the spring too. I didn’t take time to check it out, I needed sleep worse.. LOL night shift is hard on one!
    Have a blessed summer!
