Things Are Getting DONE!

Hello, and thank you for stopping by today. It has been an extremely busy couple of months, and we’re seeing PROGRESS!
• Sun room roof. DONE.
• Sun room ceiling. DONE.
• Every window in the house washed. DONE.
• Curtains washed. DONE.
• Debris removal from the yard flooding is almost … DONE … close enough to list!
• Two garage sales are … DONE. More to come.
• Numerous items listed in the local Swap and Trade are gone and the house is  looking BARE. There’s still furniture, but knick knacks inside are GONE.
I think this has moved along extremely fast considering the entire first month we were back in Burney it was cold and/or rainy so there’s been a lot accomplished. As I was doing maintenance on the front and back yards the other day (you know, that continual chore of MOWING and WATERING) my thoughts went back, as they always do, to I DON’T WANT TO BE DOING THIS UNTIL I DIE OR GET TOO OLD TO BE ABLE TO DO IT. With a LOT of work and keeping at it day in and day out with just a few oh-my-God-I-have-to-rest days we’ve come to a turning point. We just might be outta here this year.
It’s truly exciting and scary at the same time. While I don’t want to be here next winter I am also terrified. This isn’t just a move, it’s a complete purge of 99% of what I own, and the push into a totally different life. While I enjoy my yard and beautiful flowers one last time (hopefully) I continue to go through personal things. Tossing, selling, and donating.

My only wish is that whoever ends up with my little cottage by the creek and beautiful yard will love and enjoy it as much as I have.

And that leads me to some news. To another step toward my goal of vandwelling and seeing the country in Freedom.

The house is being listed tomorrow!
Oh my God, what am I doing?????
