There is no place to go but everywhere, so just keep on rollin' under the stars-Jack Keurac. Traveling the USA with The Chiweenie Brothers
Wildflowers
I used to think the desert was ugly, but it is actually a very beautiful place. There’s much to see and wonder at any time of the year, but when the wildflowers bloom … WOW! Enough said. Enjoy.
Desert ChicoryName, please, but I think it’s of the morning glory family
This beautiful little thing is called a seaside petunia (seaside???)/midget petunia and isn’t much bigger than a pencil eraser. It grows right at ground level.Beavertail cactus getting ready to put on her showAnother PhaceliaSun Cups/ Yellow Cups

After living in the “high mountain desert” for over 35 years I definitely see things differently. I too used to dislike the desert too but there truly is beauty everywhere. It is just so different that you have to look harder to see it. LOVE your pictures!!
Thank you for the beautiful pictures. When working in the high desert area of Susanville, I found it to be especially beautiful in it’s own way during the spring . I think that with a positive attitude we can see beauty in most things, even most ugly. Charles Barkley is looking rather intently in that one picture. It is to be a lovely week of warm temps but maybe a sprinkle or two. Makes me want to get out and work in the yard…
Have a great day.
